Last Friday, the ladies of Charles River met up with the girls from Beantown and Boston Women's to co-host a kick off fiesta for the coming Spring 2010 season!
It was a great time for all. The Lady Rats came clad snout to claw in green and orange, celebrating their Rat spirit so all would know who "those great Charles River girls" were. The crowd mingled talking rugby, Spring, season, and of course flip cup and boat races. In an inter-squad forwards v. backs boat race, the pack players proved their mettle, beating the backs in a close chugging battle.
One Charles River girl proclaimed, "Guess what rhymes with Charles River! Strong liver!"
"I lvodkjlkove rugbhyj!" another Boston are woman rugby stated later in the evening.
The evening was an awesome way for the three teams to interact and connect off the field, and get to know each other's players a little better. Cheers to the Rats, and good luck to Beantown and Boston Women's in their up coming seasons.
